How are the shades assembled?
Two elastic cords hold the Capsule shades together. The cords are inserted into a plate that screws into the lamp holder. These can be easily removed for disassembly and replacement. For more details download the Capsule's Information Sheet in PDF format (300K) What light bulbs should I use?
Capsule Lights can only be lit by compact fluorescent light bulbs. We recommend using a Compact Fluorescent 26 W/ 120 V light bulb. Is this product UL listed?

To clean the shades, steam the dirty area and gently take a damp cloth to it. Let dry and repeat as necessary. If you are unable to remove a stain using this method, let the shade dry completely and apply medium -to fine- grain sandpaper lightly to the stain until you have removed the stained material. How do I fix a dent on the shade?
Apply steam to the dent from the outside while gently pressing and smoothing the inside of the shade back to its original shape. Repeat as necessary and let dry completely.
